Extract IC is very complicate and time consuming project which will refers to the extract on EPROM, EEPROM and flash unit. All of these memorizers could be very sensible to the fault injection attack when Extract IC. That is because the current flow into the floating gate could be much less than the current flow into the SRAM unit when IC extracting.
First of all IC Extracter need to presume that there is light sensor embedded inside the IC to prevent unauthorized de-capsulation on it, so before we carry out the research on this issue we can inject the fault through light to EEPROM Memorizer when IC extracting.
The 20 watt light bulb installed in the microprobe is strong enough to turn the security fuse status of microcontroller IC PIC16F84 around when IC Extracting. Open the aperture completely and amplifier the times to 1500, the light can concentrate on the security fuse area without damage the main memorizer when extract IC. Place a Microcontroller PIC16F84 which has been programmed, encrypted and de-capsulated beneath the socket adapter of microcopy, and make connection with the universal programmer. After locate the security fuse of PIC16F84 after Extract IC through field lens, increase the light power to the maximum level and can read out the content inside the encrypted IC which can proved to the success of IC extract.
